*laugh* 2003-02-16 (10:57 p.m.) I'd just like to point out that I rock the free world :D Don't ANYONE ever let me doubt my love for swing. Or the benefits that come with swing dancing. If ever I'm unsure wether or not to go to a swing night, ORDER me to go, even if I don't seem like I want to. ...unless of course something big and bad has happened. Then umm.. I can not go. But yeah. Wow. I had soo much fun. I was game enough to ask good dancers to dance, and learned a whole lot. And I'm going again next Friday and Saturday. I ran into Simon, my highschool best friend's ex-boyfriend, with whom I used to get along very well when we saw each other (which wasn't often since he lived in quebec city and I was in ol' Deschambault), who I hadn't seen in about 3 years, during the Snowball. (Snowball is a swing "game" in which -everyone- in the room is up in a circle, the "caller" chooses two people at random, and they dance in the middle of the circle. When the "caller" calls "Snowball!", the two first people stop dancing together and go choose someone else in the circle, and so on until everyone's dancing. It was something like this: Snowball one (4 people): I don't get chosen. The Snowball ends two or three Snowballs from then, and we talked for awhile, danced a couple of songs and then I had to go catch my last bus home. Of all the places I would have expected to run into him, the Grand Salon, during a Swing night, was not one of them. So now I'll be seeing him a whole lot more, most likely. Very cool indeed. Oh, and bending your knees makes swing dancing a whole lot easier And now, a shower and bed. - - 2003-11-13 |
