lettuce frustrations 2003-02-10 (6:28 p.m.)

I just got yelled at for not buy lettuce.

I went grocery shopping by myself and bought a whole bunch of stuff and came home with my back pack full and 4 plastic bags.

Leaving, I saw there was still lettuce in the fridge.

Emy just got in and said, "You didn't buy any lettuce!" very much pissed off. So I answered, calmly, "there's still plenty in the fridge." "There isn't even enough for one person! And it was written on the board! What am I supposed to have for supper now?"

I don't give a damn what she has for supper. She only uses lettuce for sandwiches. The one time she wants to make a salad, there's more than half a head, and there isn't enough for her. *blink* Besides, there's plenty of other food in the fridge to make supper of. But of course I get blamed for not buying lettuce. Just like I get blamed for using up coffee I never drank, and finishing the butter that isn't mine that I don't eat because it's salted and I have my own unsalted butter.

Sometimes I just don't understand people.

Old friend 2003-02-10 (2:52 p.m.)

Last night, looking through my desk drawer for a specific piece of paper that had a doodle on it, I found another piece of paper with lots oh phone numbers on it, one of which was Jackson's, an old friend of mine from Comox, BC. I hadn't talked to him in about a year.

Doodle now forgotten, I picked up the phone, looked at my watch, and judged it was an ok time to call. Who's not home at 7:30 on a Sunday night?

Got caught up on the past year for about half an hour. It turns out that he has plans to visit the East Coast for a while, within two months from now. Wow. So he's gonna drop by sometime through Montreal and/or Quebec City. Very Cool. Exchanged phone numbers (ok, I gave him my new one) and email addresses. Gonna keep in touch this time around. We hope.

Funny how things work out sometimes. I'd been thinking about him for some time now, and all of a sudden I stumble upon his phone number.

Happy.

cousins, purple nail polish, sparkles and rings... 2003-02-09 (12:37 p.m.)

I believe I'm destinied never to wear rings. the one I got in Boston back in October was lost in December, and my french grandma gave me one with my birthstone on it saturday morning. This morning, waving good-bye to my uncle, aunt, grandma and couisn on my dad's side, it flew off my finger and landed somewhere in the snow. It was pritty. I hope I find it come spring.

I had a really awesome weekend. Spent a lot of time with my cousin Jullian, who I hadn't seen in 4 years. The thing is, last time I saw him, I was 14 and he was 28, and I was too shy to talk to him much. And this time around, we really talked a lot and spent a lot of time together. It was a lot of time. I'm to let him know next time I go West, and he'll take a trip to Vancouver (he lives in Calgary). So it's all good.

Ended up not going to Danya's third show, but going to Steve's in Deschambault instead, with the rest of the family :)

And I have purple nail polish that you sprinkle sparkles when it drying and get sparkly purple nail polish on your toes :D
