guineapigs 2003-01-20 (9:10 p.m.)

We renamed the first guinea pig Mocha, to go with Vanille.. so far so good.

beh 2003-01-20 (3:18 p.m.)

Thanks to everyone who wrote to me and sent me ecards and stuffs... I really appreciate it.

I'm nauseous and I feel like crying a lot, but I'll be ok. The first day back at school was lots of fun, and Russian is soo cool. We're going to pick up a new guinea pig soon, called Vanille. Pretty. I'll get pictures up soon.

I want a hug.

Everyone.

Please send positive energy to Hsu.

I don't want him to die.

At least not while I'm not there with him.

Please.

Make him better.

snafu 2003-01-17 (9:42 p.m.)

In response to Gella, the guinea pig is theoretically named Buffy. But on second thought, I -really- like Snafu better. Will talk to Ali and Guy about it.

Thank you!

hat 2003-01-16 (11:12 a.m.)

What Sort of Hat Are You? I am a Top-hat.I am a Top-hat.

I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades; creative, in a stylistic sort of way, a little vain, a little dark, perhaps a little archaic. I get on alright with people, but I can take them or leave them. What Sort of Hat Are You?

ow. 2003-01-15 (11:13 p.m.)

Let's all pour salt on the open wound.

Please.

Might as well do it now while I'm vulnerable and already upset.

Fuck.

Just get it over with.

; _ ; 2003-01-15 (10:34 p.m.)

*choke*

I feel like I'm suffocating.

Its like my stomach just turned over.

I hate it when that happens. Someone tells you good news, but to you, its upsetting.

*cry* So much for that one.

o/~ The Ents go marching two by two hurrah, hurrah...o/~ 2003-01-14 (5:27 p.m.)

Back from The Two Towers. Dad and Claude didn't like it. Dad thought it would be better, Claude thought it was too violent. *blink*

Danya?

She loved it. We had a blast. AND we saw the Finding Nemo preview. Gotta go see that.

And Bill, You're welcome :D And the quote is from Robin Hood, Prince of theieves. Love the spelling :D

Still, you have my eternallove and respect :)

I'Ve got a guinea pig on my shoulder. front and end are different shades of brown, and middle is white. Soooo cute. Need name. Any suggestions? Pleeze? :D These things make such the cutest sounds...

*happy sigh* 2003-01-14 (10:49 a.m.)

Didn't go to musial improv last night, after all.. we got to the ticket counter and they said, sorry, there is no more room.. I still got to give danya her cds and the sheets she asked me to print.

So we (Ali, Emy, Andrée-Maude, Henrik and self)went to the video store and rented Birthday Girl. Mmm. Vincent Cassel, Mathieu Kasovitz and Nicole Kidman in the same movie. Yum. Are you a giraffe? - Yesss. Hee.

Eating Granola.

Yes folks, I'm having breakfast.

Oh My.

Going to see The Two Towers with Danya, Dad and Claude. I saw it once already, but I promised Danya I'd go with her, so we're going today. And I mean, you can never see those movies too many times :D

And I only have about 150 MegaTokyo issues to read left :)

I love my friends. Man oh man, I love them to bits.

*dance* 2003-01-13 (4:10 p.m.)

Azim The Great One! I am home! Wooo!

If anyone identifies that quote, I have eternal love and respect for them :D

So yeah, I'm home. Reading MegaTokyo. Watching Buffy with roommate. Going to Musical Improv tonight.

I also got my new classe schedule. Starting at 8 every morning, 21hrs/week, fitness for phys ed (which was NOT in my choices, but that I'm getting over, cause I might finally get "fit"), and no Friday classes. *cackle*

I'm happy.

Finland Finland Finland 2003-01-12 (9:18 p.m.)

I'm going home tomorow! *bounce*

But nothing else is worthy of mention... so I'Ll dedicate this to Bill:

Finland - Monty Python

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Pony trekking or camping,
Or just watching TV,
Finland, Finland, Finland,
It's the country for me.

You're so near to Russia,
So far from Japan,
Quite a long way from Cairo,
Lots of miles from Vietnam.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Eating breakfast or dinner,
Or snack lunch in the hall,
Finland, Finland, Finland,
Finland has it all.

You're so sadly neglected,
And often ignored,
A poor second to Belgium,
When going abroad.
Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall,
Finland, Finland, Finland,
Finland has it all.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall,
Finland, Finland, Finland,
Finland has it all.

-- And I also want to direct him over here, The Finnish Nook. I had fun :D And now I wanna learn Finnish. Is this a bad thing?

*giggle* 2003-01-11 (10:52 p.m.)

I agree with George.

Go read www.megatokyo.com, starting with the first issue, now. He was just cruel enough to get me addicted to it while I'm deprived of highspeed 'net acces. Meanie Norg

On another note? Grandma's with only their top teeth in are funny to talk to :D

* * *

yay! 2003-01-10 (10:25 a.m.)

I went downstairs this morning for breakfast with Grandpa and Grandma (this aroudn 6:30), and the first thing Grandpa says - reading the newspaper - is, "Being obese is as bad for you as tobacco use." Then hs bursts out laughing: "Does that means they'll have obese and non-obese sections in restaurants and bars and taverns now?" And chuckles again.

*happy sigh*

My Grandpa's back. :D

* * *

*boogies* 2003-01-09 (9:25 p.m.)

Grandpa's home. And he's happy to be home.

For those of you who are perspicacious, I'm updating my diary, which means I've got 'net access, which means I'm still sleeping at the grandparents'.

It's ok by me. It saves me the trouble of having to spend time with dad's girlfriend.

--

Me?

I'm dusty.

I'm cleaning my room in a big way. Getting to every corner, taking every book off the shelf, dusting it and the shelf and putting it back, throwing out lots of stuff I don't want/need anymore, washing floors, carpets, sweeping, vaccuuming, the whole shabang. (I can't believe I just *wrote* shabang....*shudder)

The only thing I haven't yet gotten to is my stuffed animal pile.

*sigh*

I can't bear the thought of putting them all in a garbage bag and giving them away, or putting them all into a garbage bag and into storage. These are my most prized stuffed animals. I can't abandon them until I have enough space to put them in. I still have to figure out what to do about them.

Any ideas welcome.

--

While cleaning, I found Joy's phone number in New Mexico, and reached her wonderful mother, who told me about the mold and that Joy was at a hotel. She gave me the number there, and I talked to Joy! Nothing like takling to Joy to bring your spirits up! I love this girl to bits.

I also found the tape of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The version I acted in in secondary 5. I watched it, when I decided to call it a day, and continue cleaning tomorow.

I really gotta get back into theatre.

I'm good.

And you all know how much it takes for me to acctually admit that.

But I'm good.

Honest.

bleh 2003-01-08 (9:28 p.m.)

Mum's gone.

For a long, long, long time.

*sigh*

I'm tired of crying.

--

Grandpa's comming home tomorow, while he waits to have his operation done. I'm still sleeping here anyway.

Roommate's birthday today. 19.

I Am A: Chaotic Good Elf Bard Mage

Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Secondary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.

Deity:
Hanali Cenanil is the Chaotic Good elven goddess of love, beauty, and art. She is also known as the Heart of Gold and Lady Goldheart. Her followers delight in creation and youth, and work to spread happiness, love, and beauty. Their preferred weapon is the dagger.

Mmmmm 2003-01-07 (9:12 p.m.)

Ah.

Pure bliss.

Spent all all afternoon fishing with Ali and Guy.

People my age.

People I hadn't seen in ages.

People I love.

It was absolutely wonderful.

I love them both dearly.

dream 2003-01-07 (9:22 a.m.)

I once again dreamed that I was giving birth.

This time to three girls, in my grandmother's sun room, accompanied by my Mum and her girlfriend. Everything went well. Triplets. Three girls. I had time to name two of them, Genièvre (juniper, in French, looks and sounds like Guenievre), and another Alice.

Went to my grandmother's kitchen and a bunch of my friends were coming down the stairs from the second floor, notably my friends Claude and Myriam from camp two summers ago. Claude told me, "you can call, you know, when things happen"

And I looked at Myriam and told her that I had three girls.

* * *

*sigh* 2003-01-06 (10:05 p.m.)

I'm tired of haning out with old people. Tired of visits at the hospital. Tired of not being in my things in my apartment.

I need people in my mental age range.

next few days sound like this: sleep at grandma's untill jan 13th, visit grandpa at the hospital mornings, spend afternoons with mum until she leaves on the 8th, then spend afternoons at dad's, cleaning.

sounds fun, huh?

I want my room and my stuff back. I want my friends back. I want my cat and my guinea pig back. I want my semi-normal life and eating habits back.

*le sigh*

Thanks to those of you who've let me vent lately. I needed it.

Once again, I link to Lramsu, an old friend from England, who I've mostly lost touch with, but who I still read.. His jan 4th entry. Go look.

more updates 2003-01-05 (11:28 p.m.)

***WARNING*** Long entry ahead

I gotta go along with Joy: I wanna loose those twenty pounds.

And while I'm at it, also stolen from Joy, who stole it from Jaci:

--

Five personally significant events of 2002:

1 - Finishing year 1 of Cegep.

2 - Benoit

3 - Dan's death

4 - Trip to Swat.. Road trip around New England with fabulous people that I'm losing touch with and that it bugs me.

5 - Moving out of my sisters' and in with awesome people and wonderful friends.

Ten things I want to do in 2003:

1 - Lose those 20 pounds *winks at Joy*

2 - Travel

3 - Go to the Barbershop Internationals in Montreal

4 - Be more productive and less procrastinative (?)

5 - Write

6 - Take Swing lessons

7 - See Taraf de Haidouks live

8 - Sleep more

9 - Find myself

10 - Mend a relationship with an ex, and stop being upset when I see him

Five things I don’t want to do in 2003:

1 - Stress

2 - Be out of touch with people I care about

3 - Stay at home

4- Aquire too many rodents in my apartment (guinea pigs and chinchillas and the like)

5 - Eat badly

Five things that 2002 taught me:

1 - NEVER do things you're not ready to

2 - I'm good with German

3 - I've got some of the best friends in the world

4 - I can't go too long without seeing my mother

5 - Not giving up on people pays off :D

--

Oh, and on the way to and from Pembroke, I yelled out "First in Ontario!" or "First in Quebec" *wink to the Swats who roadtripped, particularily Bendy and Liz* and got funny looks from my sisters.

--

So.

Louis is my mum's cousin. Mum adopted him when he was about 16, and he lived with us for a long time while I was growing up. So he's more like a big big brother than a cousin.

His girlfriend had a beautiful baby girl, but very early and blah blah blah. All this to say that her name (the baby) is Camille, and that she's been diagnosed with Down Syndrome, which I think is relaly awesome. Down Syndrome people are cool. I like them.

--

Sleeping at grandma's tonight so Mum can get a good night's rest, and sleeping here until I leave for Quebec.

I spoke to my aunt earlier this evening and she thanked me for sleeping here, saying that it took a big weight off her shoulders. The way she said it made it sound as if she thought of it as a chore.

I really don't understand that. I'm happy to sleep here and keep grandma company. And her daughter sees it as a chore. Beh.

And *chuckle* I watched part of Gone With the Wind with her tonight, too.
